Join Majority in the Middle for an evening of music, food, fun, and words of appreciation
as we recognize Minnesotans completing their public service in elected office in 2026.
Across Minnesota, thousands of people serve in elected offices -- Mayors, City Council members, Township Supervisors, County Commissioners, School Board members, Park Board members, State Constitutional Officers, Legislators, and others. Much of their work happens outside the spotlight. It requires sacrificing family and career time, difficult decisions, public scrutiny, and a willingness to take responsibility for the communities we share.
At this year’s Purple Party, we will celebrate and thank elected officials from across the state who are concluding their service and recognize the often-unsung contribution they (and their families) have made to Minnesota’s civic life.
The evening will include:
-
Music, food and a cash bar
-
The presentation of the 2026 Purple Party Honor Roll of elected officials who announced that 2026 would be the final year of their service.
-
A short program and special guest speaker
-
Plenty of time to connect with people who care about constructive civic and political engagement
This is not a partisan event. It is a celebration of public service and of the people from every part of Minnesota who step forward to serve their neighbors.
Help Us Build the Honor Roll
Minnesota has thousands of elected offices, and we need your help identifying the people who should be recognized.
We are seeking the names of Minnesota elected officials who are completing their service in office in 2026.
-
Officials may represent either a partisan or a nonpartisan office.
-
Inclusion on the honor roll recognizes public service; it does not represent an endorsement of the official’s positions, record or political affiliation.
-
Majority in the Middle will confirm eligibility before publishing the final honor roll.
