Politics we can be proud of

Jerad Morey
Jerad leads initiatives that heal divides, scale civic engagement, and build institutional partnerships -- especially where faith and democracy meet. He is a longtime bridging innovator in Minnesota, where 14 years ago he cofounded Respectful Conversations at Minnesota Council of Churches. Since then he's depolarized conflicts, increased peacebuilding capacity, and strengthened relationships in over 400 communities and organizations with nearly 10,000 people. His work has been recognized with the Wesleyan Way Award, selection as an Obama Foundation USA Leader, and the Minnesota Ethical Leadership Award.
Serving in positions of national leadership in faith-sector bridging and in measurement, evaluation and learning with the ListenFirst Coalition, and in state leadership on the steering team of the Minnesota Bridgers Hub, Morey is drawn to Majority in the Middle for its emphasis on accountable bridging in the policy space as manifest by the organization's annual State of Bipartisanship report. His other interests in the space include culturally-specific bridging, bridging with BIPOC communities and leaders, and cross-sector depolarization.
He lives in New Brighton and also enjoys guiding Wild Path Forest Therapy walks; hiking, playing tennis and board games with his family, and serving as a licensed local pastor.
