Mark Jenkins

Mark Jenkins is an active citizen who has represented east metro residents on commissions and working groups engaged in park planning, transit, clean water, housing and economic development. In 2025, Mark was appointed by the Governor to represent the communities of southern Washington County, eastern Dakota County, and part of Ramsey County on the Metropolitan Council. Mark was also active as an Independence Party candidate for the State Senate and later as its State Party Chair.

In his full time career, Mark was a trailblazing technology advocate, actively promoting smartcards, smartphones, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence when these technologies were still "bleeding edge". His career included leadership roles in sales, partner management, and training.

Mark and his wife Linda are both graduates of the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and live in Maplewood, MN.
